WOMANIST LEADERSHIP INSTITUTE 

We are inspired by the realization of the need for women centered spiritual, physical, and emotional spaces that centers the lived experience of Black women and to have that experience inform the lens with which we view God and the world around us. Grounded in a Womanist Theology of seeing and naming God for ourselves, and with the deep knowing that God sees us, hears us and meets us where we are, whether in the wilderness, on the high seas, or at the alter.

Wawa Aba Womanist Leadership Institute aims at motivating all women to reclaim their agency and voices, empowered sisterhood, conscious solidarity and fulfillment of responsibility to and for each other. We are currently in the USA, East Africa (Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda and the Democratic Republic of Congo), South and Central America and rapidly expanding across the globe. Our aim is to reach women globally to inspire, encourage and support strong leaders and communities.
